HVAC Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Work Environment: Commercial, and/or industrial job site. May require limited evening, weekend, and on-call shifts.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
- Test system performance using specialised tools (e.g., gauges, meters, diagnostic equipment).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Provide customers with recommendations on system upgrades, replacements, and energy-saving solutions.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service recommendations.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in proper working order.
Qualifications & Skills:

- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration components.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
